When it comes to discovering new music in Seattle, we at SMI are always looking for something interesting, and we think we found it in Yonder.  Fans of 70s British New Wave/Power pop (i.e., The Jam, The Clash) and exquisite guitar tones (i.e., Johnny Marr or Andy Partridge/XTC), will dig this outfit.

They have a big beat sound and weave a big sonic tapestry with some hauntingly melodic vocals and heavy reverb. Are these cats really from Seattle? If we didn’t know better, one would think they hail from the other side of the Atlantic.

Their new record will drop in July. In the meantime, enjoy their single “Harbor” from their forthcoming release, and pre-order a limited edition vinyl of only 300 on translucent blue no less, on Bandcamp.
