RockStar Motel and CMJ look to fill two open slots for music marathon

Seattle-based RockStar Motel is the newest go-to destination and social networking platform specifically for music fans who want something more.  Artists love it too, as it’s a vehicle that actually empowers musicians, in a notoriously fickle industry. CMJ connects music fans and industry professionals with some of newest  music via interactive media, live events, and print. So it makes sense for these two entities to partner up for a showcase at the massive music marathon taking place in New York City, October 16 – 20.

They are currently taking submissions from emerging performers. This is for indie artists only – major label artists need not apply. The types of acts that RSM and CMJ are looking for are not genre-specific. (Obviously, having solid chops, devastatingly brilliant songs, and that special something is a huge plus.) Two selected acts will be invited to participate in the showcase and receive $1,000.00 for travel expenses.

To enter your act for consideration…

  1. Sign up for RockStar Motel. Create a page (or take over your existing page).
  2. Invite your current fans to join RockStar Motel to Sign and Represent you – get at least of 25. Fan engagement and participation in the site is essential for selection.
  3. Create and send a Promo Pack via RockStar Motel featuring your content and an explanation of why you think you should get this opportunity. (Email: cmj@rockstarmotel.com).

On Friday September 14, RockStar Motel will announce the chosen two.
