It was a beautiful Friday evening in the Pacific Northwest. One couldn’t ask for better weather to get the Washington State Fair Concert Series started.

The Fair Concert Series was kicked off with An Evening with Chicago.

Formed in 1967, Chicago is one of the longest running and best-selling music acts of all time. The group currently consists of Robert Lamm (keyboards / vocals), Lee Loughnane (trumpet), James Pankow (trombone), Ray Herrmann (saxophone), Walfredo Reyes, Jr. (drums), Neil Donell (vocals / guitar), Ramon “Ray” Yslas (percussion), Tony Orbohta (guitar), Loren Gold (keyboard) and Eric Baines (bass).

For those who may not be familiar with the term “An Evening With”, this is when there are no opening acts, just the headlining group. On this evening, the band performed multiple acts throughout the course of the evening – with the set comprised of material spanning their five decade plus career.
