Nothing More Brings Everything To Seattle

Having skipped some West Coast cities on their headlining tour earlier this year, Nothing More FINALLY returned this past week opening for In This Moment at The Paramount Theater. It may have been a bumpy road to get here, having had to reschedule some shows due to weather and headliner illnesses. The band scrambled to add a few “one off” headlining shows at alternate venues at the beginning of the tour because they were determined to be in front of as many of their fans this time around. (To add insult to injury, their tour bus even broke down just outside of Portland the day after their show here – but they made it in time for the show.) For fans in the Midwest, they also just added a date the day after the current tour ends at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI on October 24th.

Their set, (albeit short: maybe not for you, but for me nine songs is far too short, *le sigh*), allowed lead singer, Jonny Hawkins, to showcase his vocals and allow his percussion talent to soar, (yes, the scorpion made a triumphant appearance, along with an in-crowd drumming moment at the end of their set). Incorporating old and new songs, bangers and ballads, the mere rush of enthusiasm from the band performing live on stage was enough to send the crowd’s hearts racing.

Having started on their latest EP wayyyyyyy back before the “you know”… It is FINALLY ready to be released! A few singles have already dropped, but you can look for the full-length SPIRITS EP to hit all platforms on October 14th. Pre-orders for their merch in conjunction for this EP can be found on their website. My hope (and thought) is that they will headline shows again next year, after they play Shiprocked in Jan. ’23, (which is currently sold out).
