SMI Radio Ep. 16 On Demand: Bumbershoot Post Event Special

Bumbershoot 2010 is over now. Our coverage  of the Northwest’s biggest music wraps up this week. There have been a lot of great outdoor music festivals and concerts around the region this summer but it seems like the granddaddy of them all is Bumbershoot.

In our most recent episode of SMI Radio is the most ambitious thus far. The show clocks in at 1 hour and 30 minutes. The show features interviews with KMTT, The Mountain’s Music Director, and Shawn Stewart. Shawn talks about the artists that she was the most excited to see. In addition, Shawn talked about the forthcoming release of “Live From The Mountain Music Lounge” CD, Volume 16 coming out this November. To find out more about the making of the CD and more, I invite you to visit Shawn’s blog.

In this week’s episode, we have backstage interviews with Lips and Robb Reiner from Anvil. They were our featured guests last week.

After my interview with the folks from Wheedle’s Groove, Including a conversation with Seattle Mayor, Mike McGinn. We feature a post show backstage interview with Joe Simpson AKA Eldridge Gravy from Eldridge Gravy & The Court Supreme. Also, we had the opportunity to interview Sharron Foo and Sune Rose Wagner from The Raveonettes. I sat down with Rachel Flotard from Visqueen prior to her show. I conclude the show with backstage interview with Vienna Teng.
