The Emerald City has an incredible and robust acoustic music scene. There are some brilliant artists in this genre who we have championed the last few years. Many of those artists will have their talent on display this Saturday, August 22 for the 2nd annual Seattle Acoustic Music Festival (SAF). The one day event will feature 30+ of some of the most revered acoustic artists throughout the Northwest on three different stages. Star Anna, The Local Strangers, Tomo NakayamaBig Sur, and Dark Hip Falls will headline this year’s festival.

The 2015 Seattle Acoustic Festival, an annual gathering of the region’s best singer-songwriters, indie-folk, Americana and other hybrid styles of acoustic music is back for another year of great songs, skillful musicianship and passionate performances. The exciting one-day all-ages festival will be held on Saturday, August 22 at All Pilgrims Christian Church on Seattle’s Capitol Hill beginning at noon and running until 11 p.m. The SAF is a non-stop musical event covering three stages in one venue, making it easy to explore, enjoy old favorites and discover new artists.

About the Organizer:

The man behind putting this special event together is Elijah Dhawan, of London Tone Music’s low-fi folk band, Tobias The Owl. He says his motivation and inspiration behind putting the festival on is quite simple.

“We want to provide a bigger, more public event to recognize artists and names from our region that have a more intimate sound,” he said, adding, “these are also musicians that the organizers love and are inspired by. This is going be a wonderful event.”

We are pleased to co-sponsor this year’s festival along with London Tone MusicHerkimer Coffee, Northwest Polite Society, Euphoria Tea & Critical Sun Radio.

SAF is generously donating ONE pair of tickets to give away to our readers for this event. To enter to win, just comment below the article with your favorite band that is playing the festival. The deadline to enter is midnight TONIGHT and we will andomly draw/notify the winner and make sure your name appears on the guest list when you arrive at the event.
