Dave Matthews Band play 50th show at Gorge Amphitheatre this weekend

Summer is always a busy time for live music and concerts, but no summer is complete without the annual Labor Day Weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre with Dave Matthews Band.  In celebration of their 50th show at the Gorge, DMB will play two sets each night; an acoustic set followed by an electrifying set that is sure to please.

The Gorge will welcome an audience from all over the country for three days of camping and music. “This is heaven’s amphitheater!” Dave Matthews once exclaimed in an interview with the Seattle PI. The Gorge is set above the Columbia River and offers spectacular views and sunsets.

At the Gorge shows only, The Dave Matthews Band welcomes Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Gregory Alan Isakov as special opening sets.

Whether it’s the needle popping into the first groove of the record, the beeps that signal the beginning (or end) of a cassette tape, or digital numbers ticking off the seconds from zero, music brings Christine happiness, ponderous thought, opportunities for almost scientific study, and sometimes a few tears. When she started attending live shows two decades ago, a whole new piece of the puzzle clicked in and she has been hooked ever since.
