With tickets selling out in less than 12 hours, Seattle Secret Shows pulled off yet another amazing show this past weekend. Their second completely “secret” show of the year enticed nearly one hundred lucky people who were able to snatch up their tickets. They headed into downtown Seattle and were enveloped by the beauty of Seattle’s Bullitt Center (the greenest building in the world), which houses the offices of Sonos, where the show would take place.
Guests were eager to scale the “irresistible staircase” within the Bullit Center up to the fourth floor to see who would be playing the show. It’s not often that SSS only has one musician on the bill, but this musician hadn’t played a live show since the end of last year, and they wanted his artistry to shine. And shine, he did. The music and stories of Damien Jurado captivated and enveloped the space. With its high ceilings, great room acoustics, and natural light from a stunning wall of windows, the group of music fans found themselves engrossed in the music of one of Seattle’s premier singer/songwriters. By offering these types of shows to both musicians and music fans, Seattle Secret Shows has built an incredible community of those willing to hang on to music in its rarest form. They become a part of the room, listening to each and every word, and walk away with a rewarding experience. For Sonos, one of their company values reads, “Experience Comes First.” For Seattle Secret Shows, the experience comes by being on the list. Are you?
