Puyallup, WA, hard rocking alternative grunge rockers Blue Helix dropped their newest release Anti-Social Butterfly on November 17, 2017. The band will be playing Dec 2, 2017 at Louie G’s Pizza in Fife, where they will be debuting their latest video for the title track “Anti-Social Butterfly,” which was filmed by Tetraknot, who also filmed the band’s previous video release, “Aliens.”
The band’s current line up consists of Sami Chohfi (guitar / vocals), Arman Birang (guitar), Brandon Wolf (bass) and Marco Bicca (drums). Anti-Social Butterfly is a very solid offering. Blue Helix have written and delivered an album full of memorable songs, loaded with great riffs, catchy melodies, and strong vocals.
The title track, “Anti-Social Butterfly,” could easily be a radio hit and an arena anthem for the band. “Enemy,” with is melodic intro, is another catchy tune with a great chorus. “Despair” is a quick moody intro for the song “This Tragedy,” which is another radio friendly song with great lyrics and some hard hitting riffs. “Runaways” is a fan favorite, and is one of the mainstays of the band’s set list. With its awesome intro, “Anodyne” is a great ending song. Honestly, the only disappointment with this album is that there are only six songs, and so this release leaves one wanting more. Therefore, in order to continue your Blue Helix fix, you should purchase or stream their previous releases, Tale of Two Halves, Coda, and Light the Wick.
Joining Blue Helix for their video release party will be Lust Punch, Gypsy Temple and Prelude To A Pistol. These bands will blow you away with their high energy performances and amazing attention to detail. It will be an amazing night for creating memories.
You can purchase advance tickets for $10, or it’s $15 at the door the day of the show.
