With over 2.5 million albums sold since Praga Khan founded Lords of Acid, this Belgian band continues to push the boundaries of what can, can’t, should, or shouldn’t be seen or heard in music and on stage. And although more than two dozen musicians have contributed to their music over the years, with Khan remaining at the helm, that’s the way Lords Of Acid have been doing it since 1988. The majority of their content contains fully explicit lyrics expressing love, hate, disdain, acceptance, and defiance of many of the “taboo” topics that other bands don’t, and won’t share with their fans. LOA knows how to make the concept of sex, drugs, and rock and roll mix into lyrics, music and a stage to show what you just can’t explain in words, and their fan base wouldn’t have it any other way. Although they’ve taken time away from production on occasion throughout the past decades, they continue to bring fans what they expect. They’re expressing anything and everything they want, and fans are heading out to their shows, ready to hear & see it all. They performed at the Showbox SODO on February 27th on their “Pretty In Kink Tour,” which has them criss-crossing the US through the end of March.
