So-Cal’s Joyous Wolf brought its energetic filled set to El Corazon last week, and the near capacity venue was there for it… ALL. Classic and modern rock sounds echoed throughout, and their set had plenty of opportunistic guitar solos for guitarist Blake Allard to showcase his skills for the crowd. At one point, lead singer Nick Reese parted the crowd so that he could cartwheel through it. (Not in perfect gymnastic form, but for anyone to have the courage and diligence to do that in El Corazon, I’d certainly give him all 10’s). Having covered them back in 2019, it was fun to see that their enthusiasm for their craft has not wavered. Their intensity and commitment for bringing fans a great rock show has only intensified. Their tour with Dorothy and Classless Act wraps up this week, but I can’t imagine they won’t be out on the road again soon. They’ve got way too much ROCK left not to ROLL.
