Want some local music in Seattle this weekend? Noteworthy acts Levi Fuller, Society of the Silver Cross, and more have you covered.
Society of the Silver Cross are out in support of their upcoming album release – albeit debuting in the Spring. The local music husband and wife duo featuring Karyn Gold-Reineke and Joe Reineke (of The Meices) have released a single for When You’re Gone. A video for the single and some local music live dates will help drum up some excitement for fans of haunting melodies and cinematic lyrics. Be sure to watch their Facebook page for news about their full length offering.
To wit, they’re gearing up for a performance at the High Dive on Friday, November 11, with headliners Jupe Jupe. Their latest single is available on CD as well as digital formats.
Levi Fuller and the Library will present a new EP and more local music at the Blue Moon on Saturday. Surely, Levi Fuller’s loud rock and roll will be a great fit for the Blue Moon’s historic back stage. Their new EP, such bad things happen, is out now and streamable on Sound Cloud. You’ll find Levi with his full band at the Blue Moon, plus supporting acts Quiet and CHAD.
If your world just isn’t full of enough Levi, consider the Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly release show the following Saturday at Connor Byrne. Notably so, his curated selection of indie music is a long-running favorite for discovering local music in the Seattle area. (Fun fact: this reviewer once ordered several dozen copies to give in gift baskets at a wedding. I stand by that decision, in spite of how things turned out.) Volume #54 features music from Grumpy Bear, Kevin Sur, Medejin, and more. Pre-orders are available now.
