Nothing More is currently wrapping up their Spirits Tour, which found them hitting multiple cities in North America this spring. Jonny Hawkins, Mark Vollelunga, Daniel Oliver and Ben Anderson are giving fans a well-rounded set that included songs off their latest release, Spirits, and some hard hits from previous efforts.
Opening the show with the title track “Spirits” set the tone for what was to come: Heavy rock, melodic rock, and everything in between. Cherished memories were shared with short stories before songs like “Jenny” and “Fade In/Fade Out,” and rhythmic intros and outros gave the band members a bit of respite before diving into long and loud bangers. To fans’ delight, the scorpion drum loomed on stage throughout the set, waiting to be brought to its full form, and Jonny’s performance atop of it is always a fan favorite.
Europe is up next with some more headlining dates along with numerous festival dates where they will take the stage with a variety of bands in Germany, Italy, Poland and France to name a few. Don’t you dare think they scale down their energy just because they play fewer songs for festivals. They give way more than 110% at each and every show, and they’ll always leave fans wanting more, whether they play ten, twelve or twenty songs.
SMI Site partner Mocha Charlie was able to catch the band on two stops: Their headlining show here in Seattle at The Neptune, and as part of 98KUPD U-Fest in Phoenix at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre. Be sure to check out the photo gallery where she shares some of her favorite shots.
