Legendary songwriters and pop/soul favorites Daryl Hall and John Oates (don’t call them Hall & Oates!) performed at Goldendale’s Maryhill Winery with a sold out crowd that featured fans of many generations. When it comes to Daryl and John, many songs come to mind such as Sara Smile, Rich Girl, You’re Out Of Touch, and my personal favorite Adult Education. Which is what everyone got a taste of last Saturday… Only with more of a jazzy/soulful sound to accompany it.

Fans from all over Oregon and Washington packed the 4000 capacity Maryhill Winery Amphitheater and even danced in their seats when the duo performed a popular favorite such as Rich Girl. And speaking of packed audience, I overheard from the publicist that this was their best selling show to date. Philadelphia native Muglu opened things off with a 5 song acoustic set which was a big surprise as I heard the Marymoor Park show had no opener.

Overall, this was a show that not only was I looking forward to shooting, but my wife also enjoyed as she’s a big fan. I loved the fact that they used their soul roots on some of their pop classics such as I Can’t Go For That and even Maneater which I am not a big fan of. This made for an awesome time shooting at one of the venues that everyone should check out for concerts.
