The time was right Monday night for the KAIROS EP release show at the Crocodile CafeLena Simon and crew, along with openers Dude York and Sundries sold out the venue.

KAIROS performed the 6-song EP, released on Fin Records, to an attentive and supportive crowd. The band’s sound was coastal chill with a kick of Seattle grit. Simon’s songwriting is based in simply worded,  yet conceptually substantial lyrics, strong and unique melodies, and enough rhythmic play to keep your attention.

The KAIROS Seattle music scene dream team that brings Simon’s songs to life is Alex Barr (Deep Sea Diver, Kithkin, KA), Kate Finn (Katie Kate), Raymond McCoy, and Conor Sisk. Check out “Dirt and Grit” live at Jupiter Studios or the music video for “Can/Cannot.” Simon, a multi-instrumentalist, also plays in Pollens and La Luz.
