Idaho native Josh Ritter returns to his Pacific Northwest roots Wednesday night at the Woodland Park Zoo.

With his seventh full-length album (2013’s The Beast In Its Tracks), Ritter continues his tradition of intelligent and thoughtful songwriting, backed by The Royal City Band.

Boston’s Lake Street Dive will open the show, and their soul/jazz mix should be a good complement to Ritter’s songs.

Those looking to enjoy yet another gorgeous Seattle summer evening should make their way to Woodland Park Zoo – great music goes perfectly with this weather!

Alicia is a Midwest transplant who loves Seattle but misses thunderstorms. Her musical obsessions began when her coolest aunt gave her a copy of K-Tel’s Rock 80 album for Christmas when she was 7. She spent many years studying piano and voice, but the force of rock and roll won, so while she still sings in a local chorale, her true musical passions lie more with The Beatles than with Beethoven.
