SMI Radio Ep. 58 On Demand: Musician and author Storm Large

Portland’s Storm Large is a certified triple threat. In 2006, the musician, singer, and now published author gained national attention by wowing tv audiences with her stunning performances on Rockstar Supernova. 

The show, hosted by Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction and Brooke Burke, featured 15 singers competing to front the newly formed super group, Supernova. (Tommy Lee from Motley Crue, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke) Out of 15 contestants, Storm finished in the top 5.

Storm is a very busy lady – she continues to record and travel, and she’s getting ready to embark on a European tour with world-renowned Pink Martini. Not only is Ms. Large a dynamic music artist, she’s a uniquely descriptive author as well. She recently released Crazy Enough: A Memoir based on her stirring, one-woman show. Her story is raw and disturbing, yet enlightening and inspirational at the same time.

Last month, Storm was on The Rosie Show (see below video) chatting about her new book. This Friday, April 27th, she’ll be in the Emerald City playing at The Neptune Theatre with her quartet.
